St Mary’s by the Sea
St Mary’s by the Sea is one of the most popular locations to tie the knot in Port Douglas. As the name suggests, it is literally a Chapel by the sea. Could you imagine anything more romantic? This venue can hold up to 100 guests and you can find it in the town centre, just where you want it.
Little Cove
If getting married in a Chapel isn’t quite your thing, right beside it we have Little Cove near Anzac Park. This spot is a beautiful outdoor location where the land meets the Great Barrier Reef. The backdrop of your ceremony will be entirely ocean and palm trees, it truly is as picturesque as it sounds. Also right in the heart of Port Douglas, it makes for easy accessibility for you and your guests.
Reception
The Sugar Wharf
Sugar Wharf is located right next door to St Mary’s Chapel making an easy transition to the reception after the ceremony. It’s easy to see why the Sugar Wharf is one of Port Douglas’s most sought after venues. As with the other venues, the Sugar Wharf can be booked up in advance, so be sure to get in early to prevent disappointment! The venue can be redecorated to cater for anywhere from 20 to 300 guests. Being indoors, this iconic building can be utilised all year round (even in our wet season!).
Salsa Bar and Grill
Salsa Bar and Grill is one of the best among the Port Douglas restaurant competition, making it a very popular choice for weddings! This venue is capable of catering to 120 guests or more. This depends on whether you’re after a sit-down style reception or more of a canapé stand-up style.
